Introducing the new HID iCLASS SE® RKLB40 Biometric Reader which is part of HID Global’s iCLASS SE® platform for adaptable, interoperable access control. Designed for door applications requiring multi-factor authentication including biometric templates on iCLASS Seos® and legacy iClass® SR credentials, the RKLB40 supports a broad array of credential technologies and a variety of form factors, including cards and fobs.
With a focus on sustainability, the iCLASS SE® platform readers include intelligent power management that reduces power consumption by as much as 59%. Selected models also have Environmental Product Declaration certification and Green Circle certification, which contributes toward LEED building credits.
This reader replaces the old HID bioCLASS® RKLB57 which is now discontinued.
The iCLASS SE® RKLB40 Biometric Reader is a contactless smart card reader with a keypad and biometric sensor that provides access control verification and fingerprint enrolment all in one reader.
- Reader can be configured as a dual-purpose reader/enroller, single purpose enroller-only or reader-only
- Additional field configuration allows for selection of languages, administration rights and template storage location (select either iCLASS Seos® or iCLASS SR® credentials)
- Site unique keys protect card access control data (Elite) or biometric templates (Bio-Elite).
- Powerfully Secure – The iCLASS SE platform’s Secure Identity Object® (SIO®) data model provides an extra layer of encryption for additional protection of identity data
